He is currently the most experienced Cricketer that Pakistan has. And he proved his value by rescuing Pakistan in a difficult situation. Younis Khan scored 24th Test Century of his career and with this he has broken the record of Javed Miandad who is legendary Cricketer of Pakistan.

Besides breaking the record of Javed Miandad, Younis Khan leveled the record of Muhammad Yousaf. Younis and Yousaf both have 24 centuries in Test Cricket. They are ranked on second position. First position is held by none other than great Inzamam ul Haq. He has scored 25 centuries in Test Cricket.

Earlier today when Pakistan started their innings, they were in deep trouble after both openers scored only 4 and 3 runs respectively. Younis Khan played a responsible innings and scored a hundred in 181 balls. He hit eight fours and a six in his innings.

With this innings, Younis Khan showed that experience is necessary to have in the team and it can save the collapse of a team. Match started late due to rain and Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Both openers were back in pavilion while the score was just 19 runs. Pakistan lost 3rd wicket of Azhar Ali while score was just 56 runs.

At the end of the 1st day, Pakistan was 261/4 while Younis Khan is not out on 133 runs and Asad Shafiq is not out on 55 runs. If these two players can play for the major part of day 2, then Pakistan will be out of trouble and has chances to draw the test match. Pakistan has not won any test match for a very long time in Sri Lanka.
