Wasim Akram and Shaniera Thompson Getting Married

Shaniera Thompson said that it was one of the most romantic moments of her life when 47 years old former Pakistan left arm fast bowler Wasim Akram proposed her on his bended knee while they were in their lounge room.

Shaniera Thompson is 30 years old and she is former public relations consultant from Brighton, Melbourne, Australia. According to Shaniera, Wasim was quite nervous while proposing her in a traditional way.

“He was really sweet about it. He asked me what my dream proposal would be and I said I’m not that type of woman who likes big scenes and I would want it to be at home or somewhere private. Then I came into lounge and he was on his knee and asked me if I’d marry him.”

Ms Thompson has embraced Islam and she will live in Pakistan with Wasim Akram.

After Wasim Akram proposed her, Ms Thompson said that if the traditional way is to be adapted, then acceptance and permission of her father will be required.

Wasim Akram called her father and in reply he gave them his blessings.

It was 2011 when both of them met in Melbourne and according to Wasim Akram, he was happy that he found his love.

According to Wasim Akram, he never had dreamed of getting married again but he feels lucky that he found love once again in his life. According to him, life can sometimes give you a second chance.

Wasim Akram’s first wife Huma died back in 2009 and after that Wasim Akram was connected with Sushmita Sen various times, but now those rumors die with this breaking news.

Wasim Akram has two sons who are now 15 and 12 years old.
