Tourism Increased in Pakistan by 300%

According to the latest reports, there has been a significant increase in the annual tourism rate and business traveling in Pakistan. The situation of security in Pakistan has helped boost annual tourist by 300% since the past few years. According to the top hotel booking and e-commerce Javago, hotel bookings have increased by 80-90%. Pakistan has seen a rapid increase in its tourism over the past few years, and it is growing day by day.

Internet and publicity have immensely contributed towards the development and growth of the tourism industry in Pakistan. The security agencies of Pakistan played an important role in bringing back the tour to Pakistan. They clear the areas which are worth watching and now the tourists from all over the world are coming to Pakistan.  According to the India government figures, our neighbor India jumped from 6.97 million in 2013 to 8.8 million in 2017.

 

According to world travel and tourism council(WTTC) tourism outs the total of $19.4billion contribution to Pakistan economy last year. The figures are great and surprisingly as well and WTTC expects that it will rise to $36.1 billion in a decade.

PTDC focusing on GB Tourism

The government has been making a lot of efforts to promote tourism and make PTDC a financially viable organization. According to managing director of PTDC Ch Abdul Ghafoor, PTDC and University of Management and Technology have signed a MoU for the sponsorship of PTDC publicity.  The publicity includes banners, websites, seminars, and conference. Their focus is to use social media to promote their products and services. PTDC has recently started Pakistan Tourism Friends Club which is a great initiate and they are offering exclusive 20% discounts to their members on PTDC facilities. Hopefully, in the coming years, Pakistan will carry on this legacy to promote tourism.
