Sharmeen-Obaid Chinoy is all set to showcase her next documentary titled as “A Journey of a Thousand Miles: Peacekeepers” at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

The multi-faceted and multi-talented Sharmeen Obaid never fails to make an impression the worldwide viewers and constantly seems to help to make us Pakistanis proud. Pakistan is a normal existence at main worldwide film festivals regarding not just movie actors but also film producers and directors.
Sharmeen’s newest documentary Peacemakers is based on the life of five Bangladeshi policewomen who’re employed by the UN. The film is co-directed by Indian director Geeta Gandbhir.
The TIFF website states this concerning the film:
“The character Un peacekeepers is a true “mission impossible,” falling troops who actually don’t speak each other’s languages into foreign countries filled with disorder and violence. Something that goes completely wrong may become a worldwide event. Good luck.”
