Pakistan’s first ever sight-seeing service has finally inaugurated today in Lahore by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The launching event was scheduled on 14 November, however due to some reasons it was delayed. The initiative of this Double-decker bus service has been launched by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) to boost the tourism in the provincial capital of Punjab.

The service which has been started from today will be charging Rs 200 for a common citizen and also holds special discount for students as it is seen in other transport services also. The student availing this service will have to pay Rs 100. And senior citizens, children below the age of 10 and the disabled person will be exempted from any charges.

When Shahbaz Sharif arrived for the inauguration of the project, most notably Rana Mashood and Khawaja Hassan were along with him.

The current project marks as the first ever tourism project of its kind and it seems that it will be a phenomenal idea to promote the tourism in the culturally enriched ancient city.

SIGHTSEEING LAHORE-DOUBLE-DECKER BUS SERVICE

As we know that, from tomorrow this bus service will be made operational, initially 2 Double-decker buses will be plying but onwards  3 more will be joining the project soon.

For this two terminals are set, from where the double-decker bus will be using the route of the metro project of the city.

Terminals:

  • Gaddafi Stadium
  • Food Street

The point should be kept in mind that these buses will just be destining to the historical areas of the city as it is updated to  enhance the tourism at the classically enriched sights of Lahore.

These double-decker buses are imported from the China at the total cost of $188,000. Without any doubt, these buses are the best example of technology as this are much more luxury than the simple buses we have before. And most prominently, the artwork is eye-catching for every patriot.
