Shahbaz is Rich – Nawaz Shareef vs. Shahbaz Shareef

Shahbaz Sharif who has become the Chief Minister of Punjab Province of Pakistan once again is reported to have been richer than his brother and PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif is due to become Prime Minister in the coming few days for the third time. Last year statements of assets were submitted to ECP before election. According to those statements Shahbaz Sharif was the owner of PKR 336.9 Million last year while Mian Nawaz Sharif was the owner of PKR 261.6 Million.

Every year there is a positive change in the income statements of Mian Nawaz Sharif. In 2010 he was the owner of PKR 9.7 Million. In 2011 his income elevated to PKR 10.6 Million while in 2012 this figure turned out to be PKR 12.4 Million.

Nawaz Sharif is expected to become Prime Minister by the first week of June, 2013. He paid an amount of PKR 2 Million in 2010, PKR 2.8 Million in 2011 and PKR 2.4 Million as income tax. According to Nawaz Sharif the house he lives in is owned by his mother.

Income of Shahbaz Sharif was PKR 3.1 Million by 2010. It suddenly increased to PKR 12.8 Million in 2011. It did not stop there but it further escalated to become PKR 14.9 Million in 2012. Shahbaz Sharif paid income tax worth PKR 0.25 Million, PKR 2.2 Million and PKR 2.6 Million in years 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively. Shahbaz Sharif lives in a house that is named after his spouse and it is worth PKR 120 Million.

As per unofficial figures on internet Shreef Brothers ranks 3rd most richest Pakistani.
