What the BBC Documentary is all about?

BBC released a documentary against Altaf Hussain and MQM a while ago. The recent times have not been going very well for Altaf Hussain since the investigation of the murder of MQM leader Imran Farooq entered decisive phase. This murder case is being investigated by Scotland Yard and money laundering cases of Altaf Hussain are also being investigated by the same authority.

What does the BBC Documentary Want to Prove?

According to the documentary, Altaf Hussain is using Britain as a base to operate MQM. According to the documentary, MQM is one of the most feared organisations in Pakistan. The documentary further reveals that Altaf Hussain is accused of 30 murders in the biggest cities of Pakistan, Karachi. Altaf Hussain denies these accusations but instead of facing the accusations and clear himself, he is an asylum seeker in Great Britain and currently living happily in North London. He acts as a brain of the operations of the MQM in Pakistan.

How Imran Farooq got Killed?

Imran Farooq was one of the top leaders of MQM and was stabbed to death when he left Edgeware Tube station in London and was walking towards his home. A brick and knife was used to kill him. Police had very less material to work on, as the CCTV coverage stopped near his home and no CCTV footage could be recorded over there.

Breakthrough in Imran Farooq Murder Case

The real breakthrough came when Pakistani authorities arrested two people linked with Imran Farooq murder case. Police in Great Britain raided a house that belonged to Altaf Hussain. According to the documentary, Altaf Hussain publicly mourned the death of Imran Farooq to prove to the world that he had no hand in the murder. At the same time, Altaf Hussain’s money laundering cases were also investigated and Scotland Yard came into action to check whether Altaf Hussain was using London as a base to incite violence in Pakistan.

Altaf Hussain Threatening People?

The documentary shows few instances where Altaf Hussain is using very rude, harsh and rough language and mostly threatening people. Police rated the telephonic speeches of Altaf Hussain as intimidating and found that they were breaching the law.

BBC contacted a former member of MQM and he told that MQM has been killing hundreds of people in Karachi. When this member was asked that MQM keeps on claiming that they are a peaceful party, the member said that they were a group of mafia or militants. Further questioned whether he did some violence, the member said that it was not my job to do such things and if I loved violence, why would I leave the party? It is an ideal party for violence lovers.

What idea did the Documentary communicate?

There is much more in the documentary and it seems that none of things prove that Altaf Hussain is innocent. He is involved in the violence in Karachi and MQM has no answers to the questions raised by the British media. Dr. Farooq Sattar was being interviewed by the British anchor of BBC and he was not able to answer any question properly. He kept on denying the facts that were on record. MQM seems to have no clue how to defend themselves.
