The trend of telecasting foreign plays on the Pakistani networks is very common these days, especially the Turkish dramas. These imported dramas have brought a revolution in the Pakistani entertainment industry.

These dramas are getting a huge applause from the television watchers such as ‘’Isabel Meri Akhri Mohabbat’’,’’Noor’’, ‘’Ishq –e- Mumnuh’’ etc. Now after these successful dramas another Turkish dubbed drama ‘’Rafta Rafta’’ was On-Air since 15th March 2013 on Geo TV.
Rafta Rafta is another first-class Turk drama serial that will be telecasted every Friday on Geo television. It is a good experiment of Geo television to show this drama for the sake of its viewers.
There are some reasons of televising far-off dramas in Pakistan, which is the story and settings.  They match Pakistani viewer’s taste. Foreign plays are admired in Pakistan.
Rafta Rafta is also a sort of domestic drama serial so it has full chances of getting a high rate here in Pakistan. Its title song is lovely and melodious. Its theme is about ‘’Home and Family”.

Rafta Rafta setting is in 1960s, which is its distinguishing feature and viewers have like such unique settings.
Its story and its setting are both engaging and interesting. It revolves around a family, “The Akarsu Family”. Mr. Ali Akarsu is the founder or sire of this family. He has a wife called Cemile Akarsu /Jamila. They own four youngsters; Berrin Akarsu and Aylin Akarsu (Two Daughters) and Mete Akarsu and Osman Akarsu – (Two Sons)
Berrin Akarsu is young law student at the University of Istanbul. She is cute and charming. Aylin and Mete are younger than her. Both are students from High school, while their youngest son is Osman who is just five years old child.
Ali Akasu is a mariner and a commander of a ship. As a sea farer, he takes many trips to the sea. In one of his voyage, he meets Caroline a Dutch woman, whom he gets indulged with.  His extramarital affair causes many misunderstandings and troubles for him. The situation gets worsen when his entanglement starts disturbing his family life, especially his married life.
The first episode went on-air on the 15th March 2013. It was a hit. The early response of the drama was really encouraging. It can become a super-duper serial if viewers keeps liking it. Geo TV is very hopeful and excited about its success.
