Punjab Govt Announces Closure Of Educational Institutions & Marriage Halls

The fear of coronavirus is all around in Pakistan. And I think it should be because 29 cases of COVID-19 are confirmed in our country in which 14 patients belong to Karachi, five cases are confirmed in Gilgit-Baltistan, one from Quetta and Hyderabad while others are from Islamabad and other provinces. Hence, preventive measures are needed. That’s the reason why educational institutions are announced to remain closed till the 5th of April by the Federal government and 30th of May by the Sindh Government to halt the spread of virus and infection as much as possible otherwise the developing country would have to face the music.
However, authorities are not sitting calmly and got relaxed after closing the schools. They have taken and have been taking other measures to keep the majority of the citizens safe and sound. Therefore, it is announced to have the execution of the cricket matches of Pakistan Super League-5 without spectators. Besides, the government announced to close all public gatherings areas and locations. On Saturday, it is ordered by the government of all provinces to keep wedding halls and areas where people can gather and have gossips closed. Moreover, it is stated to cancel the parade of 23rd March and it is urged to suspend for the time all Friday congregations to keep everyone safe and secure in this pandemic coronavirus.
Each province is taking steps in its way. Sindh health department has made an advisory which has ordered people, who traveled in 15 days, to isolate themselves for 14 days and not go outside. Besides, the adults, who are more than 40 years, are urged to remain at home and avoid public gatherings. Meanwhile, the advisory stated that people should quarantine themselves if they have flu, cold and body aches or they could transmit the infection to others if they go out.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government and its health department have taken similar measures which are followed by Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in their way.
Pakistan is a developing country but the government is taking actions and preventive measures actively to sort out the issue and problem as soon as possible. According to the World Health Organization, Jinnah’s land has the best National Response Program against COVID-19 or coronavirus. So, now it is the responsibility of we- citizens, to follow the orders and prove our state as a resilient and strong country.
