PTCL EVO Wingle Review

PTCL introduced another gadget for its user as PTCL EVO Wingle is the first ever Wi-Fi enabled USB Dongle, which is a perfect work and travel companion providing a powerful Wi-Fi experience even on the go at hyper speeds of up to 9.3 Mbps and support both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, connecting 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously.

Wi-Fi range is also outstanding which gives connectivity to 5 users over a distance of 15 to 20 meters range and extend to beyond 80 meters when plugged into AC power. When inserted in a computer, it allows 5+1 users to connect, one user via USB connection and 4 users by Wi-Fi. It can easily be connected to any external USB power adapter or can also be connected through laptops, car stereo system or cigarette lighter charger, or simply plugging into any power socket in home or office or anywhere available at anytime. The pocket-sized and light-weight device comes in an elegant pearl-white colored surface with the curved edges at the top and bottom. It has LED indicator panel which lights up with bright green and blue LED on connectivity. EVO Wingle comes with a transparent dashboard interface which automatically opens-up the web-browser once the device is connected to the computer through USB port. 3G signal strength, the connection status, data download, upload statistics and connected Wi-Fi clients can easily be found on the dash board.

Another great feature provided in this device is that it ensures optimal security by enabling the user to set up the SSID and security key password. Further it offers various types of Wi-Fi security settings including, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA/WPA2-PSK with AES, TKIP and AES/TKIP encryption methods making device fully protected. Hi-Link technology is also provided in this device by PTCL, with this feature, it does not need any driver or installation to make it work. One just needs to only plug the device in the USB port of any power source and establishes internet connectivity in just 15 seconds. PTCL offers its customers the flexibility to choose for various post and prepaid packages based on their needs and requirement and access to broadband internet anywhere anytime.
