Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in association with Minister of Information Technology (MoIT), have organized 5 days professional working out training program for women on ‘Android Development & Augmented Reality’ at PTA Headquarters under ‘m-entrepreneurship for women’ program.

The training program aims at equipping capable women entrepreneurs with essential skills necessary for mobile application development. The training will also focus on furnishing the trainees with marking tactics to enable them to promote and put on the market the apps developed by them. The purpose of the program is to building up mobile app ‘master trainers’ who can go back to their respective regions and hold similar training for future mobile app developers and entrepreneurs.

The chairman PTA Dr Syed Ismail Shah and Member Legal MoIT, Ms Ameena Sohail have stressed the need for women empowerment in Pakistan and expressed during the inaugurating ceremony that the potential workforce of future female entrepreneurs could use their skills of app developing for crafting and promoting mobile apps in Pakistan.

Further, they also said that 3G/4G technologies have not only facilitated the users by taking a smart phone device to the level of computer, but it also has explored new opportunities for the entrepreneurship development in which women can equally take part to prosper in life.

The informed the listeners that PTA and MoIT&T are going hand in hand to develop skills in women to allow them step into entrepreneurial market without facing any hurdles. On this occasion, Ameena Sohail commended the steps of PTA in holding such programs and coveted to fulfill similar activities for women empowerment in coming days also.

It is worth-mentioning that IT field has opened many opportunities not only for male but also for females of the country equally where they can earn even more than could male by polishing their skills.
