Pakistan is one of the slowest adopters of technology and that is why we are right now quite far behind in terms of technology. At a time when the world was testing and starting to use 5G technology, Pakistan was coming on the 3G technology. But now it looks as if Pakistan is picking a pace and introducing and adopting new technologies every now and then. Not only this, the government is now deciding to issue 5G licenses as soon as in November. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said that the licenses for the 5G technology will be held this year.

PTA is already looking out for the technology as it has already issued the process and procedure on its website for the 5G auction. Pakistan right now currently has about 4 million users of 3G and 4G technology who will be willing to switch to other networks if they are offering 5G services. There are a few companies that are interested in the project and are looking to invest in it. The 5G technology will be an upgrade of the current technology that is being used in Pakistan and it will also solve the convective problems that are being faced by everyone on a daily basis.

The introduction of 5G technology in Pakistan means that there will be a lot of changes in the way the internet is being used in the country. The 5G technology will also increase the use of social media as people will not have any connection problem, and they will continue to stream whenever they want. However, even after the rollout of licenses of the new technology, there will be a lot of time that is required in order to set up the whole technology and to get it up and running on a commercial basis.
