Pakistan was not always Pakistan, once it was a part of the subcontinent where Hindus and Muslims lived together. Because both religions were together, they also had their religious buildings all across the subcontinent. There were a lot of Masjids and a lot of Hindu temples. When Pakistan got its freedom, the religious buildings also got divided, some Masjids were left in the new India, and some temples were left in the new Pakistan.
However, the ancient temples located in Pakistan were neglected for the past many years and were not used by the Hindus or anyone else, unlike the Masjids in India which were illegally occupied by the Hindus and were forcefully made into temples. The Hindu temples in Pakistan are a beautiful part of Pakistan’s culture. There are more than 400 Hindu temples across Pakistan, a few of which are more than 70 years old. Because of their cultural importance for Pakistan, the government of Pakistan made an important announcement related to the temples of Pakistan, which are not in use for a very long time.
The important announcement which was made by the government of Pakistan on November 14, 2019, was that all the Hindu temples across Pakistan would be restored and handed over to the minority of Pakistan, which are the Hindus to follow their religion peacefully. This statement by the Pakistani government is a way of telling the world and the citizens of Pakistan that Pakistan cares about her minority and cherishes them.
While Pakistan was busy making announcements for the upkeeps of her minority, India also announced something related to her minority, who are the Muslims. The Indian court announced an illegal takeover of the Babri Masjid, which was almost two centuries old to the Hindus for demolishing and instead of building a temple on it. The court gave the illegal authority to the Hindus just because they claimed that their god Rama was born there when, in reality, Rama was nothing but a fictional character who never existed in the real world. Rama was just part of their religious book.
