The coronavirus has spread its web on all parts of the world mostly which not only the US, Italy, and Pakistan but the virus has started to spread in Nepal, Papua New Genuia and Zimbabwe as well. That’s the reason why researchers and experimenters are working in US, UK and Japan to come with new vaccines and cure of this airborne disease which has been changed from epidemic to pandemic.

However, developing countries made councils of doctors and virologists to prepare medicine or therapy or any cure for it. Besides, committees and councils. University students are also utilizing their biological sciences and biotechnology to prepare medicines. One of them is the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan.

Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Hussain Chaudhry confirmed that the students of NUST have created sanitizers and drones that could be sprayed countrywide to halt the spread of the COVID-19, on Thursday.

The minister appreciated the experimenters and scientists and their teachers for assisting the government by making products and devices which could be sent in the market and health-workers to cure the more than 2800 patients of COVID-19 in which young and old people, both, are included in large number.

Earlier, the scientists of the same university have created corona testing kits which would cost a person four times lesser than international testing kits.

Mr. Fawad praised the students for their efforts and sent them to the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan for approval.

According to the minister, the country could produce around 1.5 lacs of testing kits that university has prepared to send in the market for citizens of the country, the health sector in which doctors and medics are included and police personnel who are at the frontline with the medical sector to control the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Engineering Committee has made ventilators with the help of NED University and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). According to Mr. Chaudhry, the country would send ventilators in hospitals and abroad for exportation after they are approved by the council.

According to the latest reports, there are more than 2,800 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country that has killed around 44 survivors and around 130 patients have been recovered. The death rate is 0.2 in one million of the population while the recovery rate is 1.5 in the population of one million people.

It can be hoped that these technologies will prove to be the cure of the disease and our country will come out of this pandemic soon!
