Momina Duraid’s MD Productions Cuts off Ties with Firdous Jamal

Mahira Khan is a superstar in the Pakistani industry and has worked in numerous dramas and films. The actress, however, was in the limelight when actor Firdous Jamal made some remarks about her acting skills. In a morning show hosted by Faysal Qureshi, Firdous Jamal was asked about Mahira Khan to which the actor replied that she is a mediocre actress and model who doesn’t know how to act. Firdous further said that Mahira Khan should play the roles of a mother as her age doesn’t allow to play the role of heroines in movies any more as it doesn’t suit her.

The comments made by Firdous Jamal didn’t go well with a lot of people in the industry including the owner of MD Productions Momina Duraid. In the mark of the recent interview, Momina Duraid has decided that MD Productions will not be working with Firdous Jamal in the future. She said that she is proud of Mahira Khan who didn’t react to the statement made by Firdous Jamal and rather handled the entire issue really well. Momina said that Mahira Khan has earned the title of being a superstar through her sheer hard work. As a result, it was decided that MD Productions will not work in any capacity with Firdous Jamal due to the remarks he made against Mahira Khan.

It looks as if Firdous Jamal has landed in trouble for his comments which have not gone well with a lot of people. But the action taken by Momina Duraid has also not gone well with people who believe that it was his personal opinion and everyone has a right to have their personal opinion. Firdous Jamal’s son Hamza Firdous said that Firdous Jamal earned his name, not because of MD Productions and he has been working even before MD Productions existed. He urged people to support his father during this time.
