Maryam Nawaz Threatens Hunger Strike for Nawaz Sharif

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is going through a difficult phase in life where is he is currently living in the Kot Lakhpat jail. The former premier has been finding it difficult to live in the jail where he has complained of heart problems multiple times. And now there has been more trouble for him as he is now not being allowed to have food from his home and will now have to eat the food of the jail only. Maryam Nawaz has now come forward in her father’s defense and said that she will go on hunger strike if her father is not allowed to have food from home.
In a tweet, Maryam Nawaz said that the fake government of Imran Khan has imposed restrictions on Nawaz Sharif having homemade meals. This means that he can only have food from jail which all the other prisoners are having. Maryam Nawaz said that the staff who took Nawaz Sharif’s food was not allowed to give food and were kept waiting for five hours outside the jail. As food was not allowed from home, Mian Nawaz Sharif has declined to have food from the jail as well and is not eating anything.
Maryam Nawaz said that she will give the government 24 hours to reverse the decision or else she will contact the court in this regard. She also said that if the court doesn’t listen to her then she will stage a hunger strike outside the Kot Lakhpat Jail. Maryam said that she doesn’t believe in the government as she fears that they can mix anything in Mian Nawaz Sharif’s food. Brother Shahbaz Sharif also condemned the act of restricting the food for Nawaz Sharif in the jail and said that this is oppression at its peak. He demanded the government to allow homemade meals for Mian Nawaz.
