Majeed Nizami Passes Away

The founder of Nawa e Waqat Group, Majeed Nizami passed away on 26th July 2014. Majeed Nizami was the most senior journalist and column writer of Pakistan and was respected all over the country. He never was alleged of coming up with wrong news. Majeed Nizami was born in Sangla Hill, Punjab Pakistan; his date of birth was 3 April 1928. Majeed Sahib was really owner of an awesome personality his words were always considered as words of wisdom.

The columns Mr. Majeed wrote were outstanding and based on truth. He has always been an inspiration for new comers. The veteran writer was always concerned about the Problem of Jamu Kashmir and he always took active part in Kashmir issue. He really was very worried about our muslim brothers of Kashmir. He has dedicated a part of his newspaper to Kashmir and everyday news of Kashmir and cruel behavior of Indian Army on Kashmir were published.

The senior journalist was suffering from heart problems and was taking treatment from Lahore. His funeral was attend by Mian Shahbaz Sharif along with Pervaiz Rasheed. Altaf Hussain also forwarded his condolences to Mr. Majeed Nizami family and said “I am deeply saddened at the demise of Majeed Nizami.” Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow on the demise of such great coulmist. President of Pakistan also expressed deep sorrow.

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf chairman Imran Khan also known as I.K was very sad and forwarded his condolences to the family of Mr. Majeed Nizami. Indeed a great loss for Pakistan because such personalities are born seldom. Majeed Nizami was 86 year old. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain, the Punjab chief minister and Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan have also expressed sorrow over the death of the veteran journalist.
