An arrest warrant has been issued in the name of Indian Cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He has been alleged of hurting religious sentiments of Hindus.

A local court in Andhra Pradesh issued these warrants. Dhoni was summoned three times to the court but he did not appear in the court and finally arrest warrant was issued. Police has been given the directions that Dhoni be presented in court on 16th of July 2014.

The case is related to a photo on the cover of Business Today magazine having Dhoni on it portrayed as Hindu god Vishnu. It was April 2013 edition of the magazine. Sub title of the photo reads ‘God of Big Deals’ where Dhoni holds different products in his hands representing different companies including a shoe in his hand.
