Lata Mangeshkar Praises Auto Driver Master Aslam for Singing ‘Yaad Piya Ki Aye’

When the people over social media platforms were busy in enjoying the new song of Tahir Shah’s Angel, at the same time there was also another video that was going viral over the internet. The video on rotation was one of the auto driver of Karachi Master Aslam singing the Thumri of Ustad Bade Ali Khan Yaad Piya Ki Aye.

Master Aslam sung the Thumri with so much passion and heart touching voice that even the famous legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar praised the voice of Master Aslam. The video clip is first shared by the official Facebook page of Lata Mangeskhar with the message, “Namaskar. Abhi abhi mujhe kisine ye video bheja.Ye koi rickshaw chalewala hai aise video ke saath likha hua tha. Sunke main hairan hogayi. Mehsoos hua ki Ishwar kahan kahan apna chamatkar dikhata hai. Aap bhi suniye, main dil se chahti hun ki ye kalakar rickshaw na chalaaye ,mike ke saamne khada ho.”

Master Aslam who is driving auto now a day was once the singer in 90s. He also took part in the singing competition of NTM music channel in 1993. Speaking to the Dawn newspaper, Master Aslam said that completion was won by a girl while.

In an interview to Dawn newspaper, Master Aslam said, “I was very fond of signing since childhood. I am from Hyderabad, the situation was such that I could take part in such activities, my father, who was in the police, did not allow me to do these things.”

These types of videos are very popular now days. Couple of month before a Painter Baba singing the Ghazal of Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan and one song of the Sajjad Ali also got popularity. However, this man is the only one to get appraisal from a legend singer.
