Intelligent transport system is not a new one for the world. It is a common happening all over the world. For Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, it is new terminology. Islamabad is one of the well-planned cities of the world but for some years the traffic problem has really created chaos in the system. To overcome this havoc through the modern means o transportation are being introduced by the Capital Development Authority or the CDA. With the introduction of ITS, people will feel less stress while traveling from zero points to Rawat on the expressway.

The system will not just ensure riving but also complete security through the most recent and advanced CCTV cameras. These cameras will be installed every three kilometers to give maximum coverage. The two types of CCTV to be installed will include static and pan-tilt cameras. It will be ensured that they give a maximum of 500 m coverage. These cameras will be further connected with the most sophisticated systems to keep track of the happenings.

Road messages will be installed as well to keep the people aware of road safety and security essentials. The ITS will be set up with the optic cables. The system is made in such a way that it can keep track of the car after its identification. There will be specific speed limits that will be followed between any two points. To ensure that the drivers abide by the stated rules the speed control system will be introduced as well. Electronic weight measurement and E-challan systems will be introduced too.

The people will no longer have to worry about the congestions, blockades, and jams. They can avoid all this by using the web portal and the mobile app that will timely tell them about the roadside problems.
