Pakistan Idol Season 1 was first ever singing competition that was aired from the GEO TV on December 06, 2013 and lasted till April 27, 2014. Although it was the premier and professional singing competition in the singing history of Pakistan but still it failed badly to get too much popularity because of the selection of the inappropriate judges. Still there were many who enjoyed this event as well. According to officials of the Pakistan Idol, at the grand finale of the first season of the Pakistan Idol, almost one million votes were gathered. Zamad Baig was the winner while Muhammad Shoaib was the runner-up of the first edition of the Pakistan Idol.

Ali Azmat, Hadiqa Kiani, and Bushra Ansari were the three judges and Mohib Mirza was the host in the first edition. If talk about the second season of the Pakistan Idol then there are a lot of rumors about the second season of the Pakistan Idol. Well, there is still no official confirmation by the officials of Pakistan Idol. So, nothing is clear here. However, some reliable sources are also claiming that chances are high that the second season of Pakistan Idol may start in June 2016.

There are also rumors about the Pakistani Idol 2 are that this time the judges will be Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam. Just like the first season, the second season of the Pakistan Idol will surely air on the GEO TV. In a case of the chances of the second edition of Pakistan Idol the willing singers can get their self registered at the official website of the Pakistan Idol. However, they are required to must be of the age of 15 to 30 years.
