Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan in a video message warned the Election Commission of Pakistan on 15th of May 2013 that PTI will launch protest against the rigging issue if Election Commission of Pakistan does not take notice of the issue and fail to address the issue in three days’ time. He said that it’s already been 3 days that people are waiting on roads for the Election Commission of Pakistan to address the issue and it is the responsibility of ECP to solve this matter. According to Khan this call of strike has not been initiated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and these young people and women are protesting all by themselves and ECP must take notice of this. The people are shocked to see some other faces that they never voted for.

He further said that there are 25 constituencies identified as being rigged and they will formally apply for recounting with the help of finger prints. While talking about the current situation of the country, Imran Khan said that terrorism is the major issue of Pakistan and especially in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. He expressed his view that he wants leaders of all provinces and Pakistan to sit together to resolve this issue. He said that he has spoken to General Kiyani as well and without solving this issue Pakistan cannot move forward. He showed the intentions that they will make KPK a role model for others and will play strong role in constituting a strong and meaningful opposition in the centre.

PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary read the message written by Imran Khan in a press conference in Lahore. In the message Imran Khan expressed his views that PTI believes in democracy and PTI wants to move forward for Pakistan’s sake.
