Anti-Pakistan government of Haseena Wajid has banned waving of any other flag by Bangladeshi supporters during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2014.

The cricket fans are warned not to wave flags other than Bangladesh. This order has been implemented immediately and during a match between Bangladesh and West Indies, the police stopped people from supporting the West Indies team by waving their flags.

This decision was taken after people of Bangladesh were seen supporting Pakistan in their matches against India and Australia. Not only Bangladeshi people support Pakistan but the most people attended Pakistan’s matches after Bangladesh that makes Pakistan 2nd most popular team in ongoing World T20 in Bangladesh.

Awami League is the current ruling party and Haseena Wajid is the prime minister at the moment that is known for her anti-Pakistan views. A few months earlier Haseena Wajid stated that supporters of Pakistan have no place in Bangladesh.

Keeping aside the political statements and views, it must be realized by Bangladeshi prime minister that cricket is a sports and it seems quite unfair that politics is involved in sports.

Putting a ban on people would simply give the message to the whole world that Bangladesh have no sportsman spirit and it will highly discourage Pakistan and other teams to play in Bangladesh.

The decision of this ban although is taken by Bangladesh Cricket Board but social media is highly criticizing Haseena Wajid as she is the main suspect behind all this due to her anti-Pakistan views.
