Google Launches Wonders of Pakistan Cultural heritage Project

Google launched nowadays an amazing project, called Wonders of Pakistan, to celebrate and also promote Pakistan’s extraordinary cultural heritage. This particular archive focused on Pakistan’s historic landmarks contains some very impressive pictures shot in a similar manner as Google Street View.

Pakistan’s rich cultural has also been identified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with 6 sites listed as World Heritage Sites. Eighteen other sites are present on the tentative list. These include the Archaeological Ruins at Moenjodaro, Buddhist Ruins of Takht-i-Bahi, Shalimar Gardens and also the Lahore Fortification, Rohtas Fortification, Makli Tombs as well as Taxila. All of these sites and also some others have been listed by Google.

The collection contains pictures from The Citizens Archive of Pakistan, Lahore Museum, Walled City of Lahore to name a few. To create this project possible, Google officially partnered with a few non-profit organizations trying to preserve Pakistan’s cultural legacy.

This isn’t the 1st time Google has tried to promote Pakistan historical places. Back in 2012, they worked with the Punjab government for the culture heritage sites in Punjab. Even so, the new Wonders of Pakistan project is a lot more inclusive.

Google, which is famous for its acceptance of various cultures, not only encourages world heritage sites globally but also incorporates variety in their workplace culture.
