Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are two teams that inspired and entertained a lot of cricket fans in both seasons of Pakistan Super League. After a marvellous performance in both seasons of PSL and winning the last season PSL Champion Trophy, Peshawar Zalmi is all set to host its very own Global Cricket League title Zalmi League 2018.
According to office Peshawar Zalmi Twitter account, Global Zalmi League 2018 will not represent the Pakistani provinces based teams at all rather the teams will be named on country names. Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi aims to hold Global Zalmi League 2018 before the start of Pakistani Super League 2018. In the league, there will be sixteen teams participating from sixteen countries including Pakistan.
Global Zalmi League will be held next year in UAE probably before the start of PSL 2018.

Brand Manager of Global Zalmi Mr Iftikhar Ud Din Khattak says, “Very balanced team with an excellent combination of young attacking batsmen and genuine quick fast bowing supported by leg-spin option, a bunch of super fit athletes from across the globe. The team is selected based on their performance in last year Zalmi World Cup. Emerging category has also been introduced, and three players have been selected as Emerging players who will be part of Playing XI.”
