Gas to Industries and CNG Stations Suspended For 3 Months

Gas supply to CNG stations and Industries will be suspended from 1st November till 31st January. This was announced by Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahi Khaqaan Abbasi. A shocking news for Industry, CNG station owner but actual victim of such decisions is the nation to be more precise a common man. Everybody knows that Industries are facing severe problems to keep on running a cushion of 3 days in which industries use to run of Gas.

Next 3 months will really be very hard for the industries to survive. A very nice routine was adopted by Textile industries which were dependent on both  Gas and Wapda used to run 10 hours on gas during 8 hours daily shut down of Wapda. So the down time of Industries was very short but during non-availability of gas there will long 8 hours shut downs of Wapda and end affect of which will be borne by a poor labour. It will be a poor man whose attendance would not be marked during long shut down hours and which in turn will get less salary and his family and dependants will suffer.

Fuel expense for car can’t be afforded by common man and many of the vehicles will go off road during these three months. Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural resources said that work on Iran gas pipe line is suspended due to global restrictions on Iran and it would cost Pakistan 3 Million US dollars a day if we take gas from Iran. He said they are trying their level best to utilize the natural resources of country to cope up requirement of Gas. Pakistan Government has really been unsuccessful to cope up with gas requirement of the country.
