Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Khoobsurat’ alongside Anil Kapoor’s daughter Soonam Kapoor has now become one of the highly demanded actor of B-town.
The man with elegant look and beard has got several prestigious awards in Bollywood on his debut film. And now he is heading up with another highly anticipated film ‘Kapoor & Sons’, which is set to release on March 18, 2016.
‘Kapoor & Sons’ is being produced by Karan Johar’s ‘Dharma Production’, which is the biggest production house in Bollywood. Siddharth Malhotra and Aalia Bhatt are working in lead roles alongside him.
In a recent event in UK, Fwawd Khan was interviewed by a senior host Haroon Rashid of BBC. “ Everything is a gamble, every project that I attempt, even back in Pakistan is a gamble, and poularity is not something that’s going to stick with you for the rest of your life,” said Fawad Khan in his interview.
The most probable question which rises in mind of every Pakistani is that how Fawad is being teated in India. This came in mind as in neighboring countries do not posses good relation due to several issues. But Fawad has numerous numbers of diehard-fans in India.
In an interview he was asked if he was treated discriminately in India. He replied: “Not at all, not at all. A lot of us are brought up with these kinds of stigmas where there’s an enemy across the border but you’ll be surprised — Indians are coming over to Pakistan and Pakistanis are going over to India.”
“The hospitality is something to write about. It’s amazing. You feel at home.” He added.
Fawad is the only Pakistani actor who has got much popularity in B-town. Although, many others have tried but they weren’t able to achieve 1 per cent of what Fawad has done with the single film. For getting such high prestigious award just marking a single film, Fawad is indebted.
“I think I am truly blessed and I always feel that if you are in attendance of an award ceremony or something as prestigious as that, being there among such people is an accomplishment on its own, may it be in Pakistan or India,” he told.
Fawad with his debut film have bagged several awards and most prominent of them are IIFA, Filmfare and Masala.
Next he was questioned about what he is indifferent with others that he catch the public attention easily.
“I bribe them all! ( laughs). I’m doing nothing at all. I’m taking every day as it comes, one day at a time. Obviously I try to be as intelligent as possible when it comes to selecting scripts, but it’s a very subjective thing varies from person to person,” he answered.
“That’s what I try to do myself you know, whatever I think I can do best, I try do that.” he added.
The best thing about Fawad is he never comprises on his policies and quality. Even participating in the film of biggest production house of Bollywood he denied to do any intimate or kissing scenes with his co-star Aalia Bhatt, however it was the demand of the film. But he told that he can’t do that.
Fawad who is working in Bollywood is also the brand ambassador successful brands in Pakistan. And according to the reports he will come up with some Pakistani movies in late 2016.
