Eid ul Azha 2019 Holidays in Pakistan

Eid ul Azha is an important event in the Islamic calendar. It is an annual festival that is celebrated every year in the month of Zil Hajj with a complete religious spirit. The dictionary meaning of the word is the festival of sacrifice. Technically it refers to the annual celebration to commemorate the sacrifice of the Hazrat Ibrahim. The Prophet also known with the title Khaleelullah was commanded by the Almighty to sacrifice his moved beloved son Hazrat Ismail. The Prophet happily agreed to this command and took His most loved son. In order to make the Muslims realize the significance of the submission before the Almighty ordered the Muslims to celebrate the feast of the Eid ul Azha.
The Eid falls in the last month of the Islamic calendar. It comes in the days of Hajj that is the fifth pillar of Islam. The Hajjis traveling to Makah will celebrate the Eid in the city of Allah. Those who are not lucky enough to do so will do the same back in their country. This is, therefore, the best time of the year.
Usually, the government announces the three days leave for the occasion. The actual date of the occasion is the 10th of Zilhajj. The dates are tentatively announced at the beginning of the year. The confirmation is done after the moon is actually sighted.
The day includes special Eid prayers, slaughtering of the animal and special prayers for the Country and the loved ones. The meat of the animal has to be distributed among the loved ones, family members and the needy. Usually, the people sacrifice cows, rams, camels, ox, bull, etc. There are certain essential things to consider while buying the animal for the sacrifice. This year the Eid will fall in the month of August. It is expected that there will be a long weekend for the 14th August falling on the same dates too.
