Well the Pakistani drama makers are now moving forward and are making dramas on some exceptional and new topics. Three dramas nowadays that are very different from the traditional dramas of Pakistan are.
1. Chup Raho:
The drama has the tag line of “Silence paves way for sex offenders”. The name tells a lot, the drama is worth watching as it is covering a Taboo subject of our society. The drama is Directed by Yasir Nawaz and Written by Sameera Fazal. The cast of the dramas consists of Jibran Syed, Sajal Ali, Arjumand Rahim,Shaheen Khan and Feroz Khan. Chup Raho is broadcast by ARY Digital on Tuesdays.
2. Jackson Heights:
This drama has the tag line of “The expat challenge”. The drama highlights the life of six south Asians who lives in a building naming jackson heights in New York. This project is directed by Mehreen Jabbar. The drama is Written by Vasay Chaudhry. While the producers of the drama are Humayun Saeed and Shehzad Nasib.The cast of the drama includes Nauman Aijaz, Adeel Hussain, Adnan Jaffar,Amina Sheikh, Marina Khan, and Ali Kazmi. Drama is aired from Urdu1 on every friday.
3. Firaaq:
The drama has the tag line of “Hate destroys all”. Firaaq is Directed by Abis Raza Abidi and Written by Mustafa Bilal.Above all the drama is Produced by Momina Duraid who needs no introduction.Cast of the drama is heavy as Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Noor Hasan Rizvi, Uzma Gilani, Mazhar Ali and Junaid Khan are main roles of the drama. Firaaq is broadcast by Hum TV on Saturdays.
