Development Projects In South Punjab by PMLN

The people of South Punjab have always accused governments for introducing development projects in upper Punjab specially Pakistan Muslim League (N). Critics have always said that PMLN has always gave special favour to Lahore and have taken other cities of Punjab for granted. Many are of the opinion that such discrimination has created hate for people living in upper Punjab in the hearts of people living in lower areas of Punjab. South Punjab has really been neglected very much by Governments.
The previous government of Pakistan’s Peoples Party has really exploited this issue and have given idea of separate province for the people of south Punjab by the name of Siraikistan. The Siraikistan province issue was a very hot issue during the last government of PPP. Bahawalpur was proposed to be its capital city. This time PMLN is trying its level best to introduce more development projects in South Punjab.
The current Punjab Government is not only trying to introduce development projects in lower Punjab but is also giving advertisements in newspapers so that it give awareness to the people that Punjab government is working in south Punjab.
It wont be wrong to say that PMLN is trying erase that allegation that they don’t take interest in south Punjab. The recent on going development projects of Punjab Government in south Punjab are:
- Dera Ghazi Khan Medical College.
- Metro Bus service in Multan
- 100 Mega Watt Solar project in Bahawalpur
- Two way roads from Kahnewal to Lodhraan
- Construction of Cardiology Hospitals in BahawalPur
- Dera Ghazi Khan Inauguration of Veterinary University in Bahawalpur
- Construction of two way road from Bahawalpur to Hasilpur
- Construction of Northern by pass flyovers in Bahawalpur Big city status to Multan.
- Express Highway from Multan to Shujabad Highway Chairlift facility at Fort Monru
- Water Supply Scheme
- 500 bed hospital in MuzzafarGarh Khwaja Ghulam Fareed
- Engineering University in Rahim Yar Khan
- Medical College in Bahawalnagar Agricultural University in Buraywala.
Well it seems lots of development projects are being inserted in South Punjab lets hope that all of them prove to be successful and completes on time.
