What actually is Daraz.pk?

Daraz.pk is one of the most famous and widely used websites for shopping. It is an online platform that offers millions of items in different categories; be it food, electronics, shoes, makeup, spare parts or sports equipment. Everything that you can name, daraz.pk has it.

Now and then Daraz.pk hosts sales on which they claim to reduce the prices of items by various percent. Some items are on 20% of, some on 40% and some items even have 70% off on their actual prices. The various sales they put up include the sales of Independence Day, Mother’s Day, Blessed Friday, Father’s Day, Mega sale, New Year and the 11.11 sale. Of all these sales; the biggest and the grandest one is the sale of 11.11 which starts on the 11th of November.

The reality of the sales on Daraz.pk:

Daraz.pk claims that their sales are the most authentic ones and that they actually reduce the prices of the items. However; in the light of recent events, it was realized by a lot of people that daraz.pk was scamming them. Before the sale goes up (particularly the sale of 11.11 as it is the biggest sale of the year on daraz.pk) the team which runs the website increases the price of the products and then reduces it. for example; if a wristwatch costs 1500 Rs before the sale, then it still cost the same during the sale because the price was increased to 2000 and then decreased to 1500 again, showing that they decreased 25% on this item. In this way, daraz.pk is looting people and making a fool out of them.

Another way in which daraz.pk is scamming people is that they are offering high prices of the products (with or without sales) as compared to the markets and people who seldom leaves the house and seldom go to the market think that daraz.pk is actually offering low prices. But, in reality, daraz.pk is offering much higher prices as compared to any physical market. They are just playing with people using their marketing tactics.

Despite the fact that @darazpk has been acquired by @AlibabaGroup, it has again failed us on a so called 11:11 sale day. The App and website have crashed right when the clock struck 12am in the midnight, when the sale was to go live.
