Cholistan Jeep Rally that is called as a Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally is the type of off-race organized by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab every year in the Cholistan Desert. TDCP first launched the event in 2006 and since then it is organizing by the same authority every year in the desert of Cholistan.
Every year dozens of drivers participate in this race while the event is witnessed by the tens of thousands of people. The year 2016 edition of Cholistan Jeep Rally were attended by the almost 100,000 visitors while hundred drivers and teams across the Pakistan participated in the event.

Mostly male drivers take part in the rally but this year two females also participated. The event was initiated with the aim of socio-economic development of the Cholistan, development of domestic tourism and preservation of Pakistan’s national heritage. The rally begins near the Derawar Fort (Qilla Derawar) in Bahawalpur.
It is the one of the most participated and attended event in the Pakistan that depicts the world history culture and open this area as a winter tourist destination. The event is not about a jeep rally only. The mega event includes cultural Show and fireworks on the evening of mostly 13th February every year. Local folk artists performed in the musical night followed by the rally at the Cholistan Desert in front of historic Derawar Fort.
Along with Rally Camel and Jeep safaris in the Cholistan Desert gave tourists the opportunity to learn and experience a nomadic life and culture having experienced guides and modern facilities at their disposal. TDCP arranges continuous festivities at the camp site for the guests. These activities include Bon Fire, Music Show, Sky Lanterns Show, etc.
A prize distribution and award ceremony arranges at the end of the event to announce top 3 winners and best performers in each category.

The 12th Cholistan Jeep Rally 2017 is expected to be organized 12th to 14th February 2017.
