Chairman PCB Shehryar Khan Taken Into Custody At Kolkata Airport

Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistani Cricket is all over the news these days. Unsuccessful attempt at the World Cup 2015 and then the series against Bangladesh kept Pakistan Cricket Board in news.

Now Shahryar Khan who is the Chairman of PCB has made it to the news, not for something appreciable but for a strange reason. He was taken into custody at Kolkata Airport. He flew from Bangladesh to meet Jagmohan Dalmia but his flight was scheduled for New Delhi. Instead Shehryar Khan off board the flight at Kolkata Airport. This was the reason he was taken into custody.

After the incident was reported to media, Indian Foreign Ministry involved itself into the matter and after all the legal complexities were cleared, he was set free. This is quite strange that he took off from his flight in Kolkata instead of New Delhi for no obvious reason.

Shehryar Khan is in India to meet Jagmohan Dalmia and discuss the Indo-Pak cricket series to happen. Last series was played between the two traditional rivals back in 2013 when Pakistan team visited India. Anyways it is still a strange thing that Shehryar Khan is making controversial decisions in the Cricket Board of Pakistan but he even cannot decide whether he is getting off the plane at the right airport or not.
