Bigg Boss Rights Purchased by ARY Digital, Coming Soon

Majority of the audience do like reality shows and it doesn’t matter much where this reality show is from. Pakistani made reality shows are only few in number and reality show lovers watch mostly foreign reality shows. Bigg Boss is one of those reality shows that have a global audience and it belongs to India.

ARY Digital has decided to bring this popular idea to Pakistan with the same name Bigg Boss. This news has been broken by Mubashir Luqman who hosts a talk show on ARY Digital named “Khara Sach”. He said that people are following Indian shows in large numbers in Pakistan and it would be great if local channels could provide fans with Pakistani version of these programs. He disclosed that Pakistani version of Bigg Boss will follow almost the same theme as it is in India.

It is really interesting to see this idea coming to Pakistan. In fact it is a bold step taken by ARY Digital and it might increase their viewership as compared to their competitors. Geo TV has already introduced Pakistan Idol which is based on the theme of American Idol and Indian Idol. This program has attracted attention of many of us and ARY Digital believes that Bigg Boss will also be successful.

Although importing the program themes and ideas from foreign is not a very healthy trend as it indicates that we here in Pakistan have somewhat lost our creativity and are unable to attract our own countrymen to watch Pakistani programs but at the same time it seems a priority to introduce something that could force Pakistani people to watch instead of Indian and Turkish dramas, movies and reality shows.
