Asian Viewers Television Awards for Best Urdu Channel in 2015 Goes to HUM TV

At present there are over 50 public and private channels working in Pakistan. Among these 50, HUM TV is the only one that has been elected for the Best Urdu Channel 2015 by the Asian Viewers Television Awards 2015.
Four Pakistanis channels namely HUM V, ARY Digital, Geo TV and ARY QTV were in the race of Best Urdu Channel of the Year. However, HUM TV emerged as the winner in the race.
Year 2015, proved as a fruitful year for HUM TV for many reasons. First it was the debut film of HUM TV, Na Maloom Afraad (2014) that received the three awards for the Best Film, Best Film Director and the Best Film Actor Award at the 14th Lux Style Awards 2015. Second it was earing of Rs. 1 billion pre-tax profit in year 2014. Third it was its recently released movie Bin Roye that was lauded by the local and international audience. Bin Roye was the first movie to release in over 80 cinemas of India and also the first Pakistani movie to be the highest grosser in India. And now it comes with another acclamation in shape of Best Urdu Channel of the Year Award.
The journey of HUM TV was started in January 17, 2005. Up to now, HUM TV has presented hundreds of dramas and telefilms. It is one of the largest entertainment channels to boost telefilms in Pakistan. Two movies are on the title of HUM TV that are Na Maloom Afraad and Bin Roye. Moreover, the channel is holding independent award ceremony by the name of HUM Awards since 2013.
HUM TV is not on the road of entertainment alone. Its sister channels are also holding its hands. These are: HUM Sitaray, Hum Masala, Style 360, and HUM FM.

The Asian Viewers Television Awards (AVTA) 2015 was organised at the Lancaster London Hotel on October 3, 2015. The award ceremony was hosted by the famous TV actor Karan Tacker.
This was the second year of the Asian Viewers Television Awards. Since 2014, it is being organized annually to honour the best talent in the TV industry and inspire the new comers. With the passgae of time, it is gaining more recognition in the regions. This year it was given in 11 categories.
