Altaf Hussain Money Laundering Case

MQM leader Altaf Hussain has been in deep trouble for the past few months and his address to the MQM workers on phone are also banned.

The reasons behind the trouble are investigation of the money laundering case and Imran Farooq murder investigation. A huge amount of money was discovered from the house where Altaf Hussain is residing and it has been also discovered that he has huge property in his name.

He has been called for a scheduled interrogation few days ago in London and the session carried on for 2 hours. He was asked about the property in his name and the money discovered from his house. He replied that this money was donated by the party workers and was the property of the party and same was his answer for the property that it was purchased by the donation money by the party workers and it is the property of the party workers.

His source of income was also investigated but nothing has been disclosed on this issue as yet. If the money is found legal, then Altaf Hussain will be clear of the money laundering case.

Imran Farooq case has leads linked to Altaf Hussain and it is a dominant idea that Imran Farooq was killed because he wanted to establish a new political party other than MQM. The involvement of MQM in this murder is still under investigation and nothing is clear as yet in this case as well.

There were few occasions where everyone thought that Altaf Hussain will be arrested, but he managed to escape the arrest narrowly and is yet free.

Although receipts of the donation by the workers were presented by Altaf Hussain but investigators did not seem to have been satisfied by the receipts only and they wanted to know why the people donated and for what cause?

Speculations about this case are that investigators have to let him go as they did not have sound and hard proof that could lead to the arrest of Altaf Hussain and he might escape as the case could not be presented in the court and cannot be prosecuted without hard evidence.
