Pakistan no doubt has a lot of talent. In spite of facing lot of problem, Pakistanis are excelling in every field of life. Here are some of the top techies who made Pakistan proud on global level.

1. Ghurfan Ahmed

Ghurfan Ahmed is the Vice President of Oracle in Silicon Valley. He graduated with high honors from Bowdoin College USA. Then he did his master in engineering from California Institute of Technology (CALTECH) with distinction. He served Microsoft, BlueLight, Sun Microsystems, Ebay and Oracle at senior positions. He is the son of Vice Chancellor University of Karachi, Dr. Manzooruddin Ahmed and has really made his family to proud of him.

2. Farhan Masood

Farhan Massod is a patriotic Pakistani. He is a trailblazing innovator and founder of Sololnsight. The company has cloud-based global security platform and is termed as “Internet of People”. It introduced “GO Screen” movement which let the people to add flying Pakistani flag in background of Twitter and Facebook profiles and especially boosted up during T20 world cup.

3. Ahmed Khattak

Ahmed Khattak is among the top 25 entrepreneurs under “25 by Bloomberg/Business week”. He laid the foundation of wireless and retail company named “GSM Nation”.  GSM Nation has been honored as a company among top 100 companies founded by young entrepreneurs at the White House. He launched US Mobile in 2014 and is currently heading the company.

4. Faizan Buzdar

Faizan Buzdar is the CEO and founder the Convo-a Software As A Service (SaaS) product. The company has alomost 14,000 businesses all over the world as a user base including CBS, NXP and Ogilvy. Faizan Buzdar is a graduate of Ghulam Ishq Khan Institute (GIKI).

5. Umar Saif

According to a list from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Umar Saif is among the top 35 young innovators all around the world. He is the founder of Plan 9 which is the largest startup incubator in Pakistan. He introduced the low cost smart phone technology over the “World Economic Forum’s Global Agends on Pakistan” in 2013-14. He has been awarded with the “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” which is one of the top civilian awaards in Pakistan. He has also got many awards including MIT Technovator Award 2008, Percom 2008  and Mark Weiser Award at IEEE.

6. Haseeb Awan

Haseeb Awan is a well known entrepreneur has offered his skills for technology to upgrade tp next stage. He is a co-founder of a famous company named BitAccess. BitAccess produces Bitcoin Automatic Teller Machine (BTM). He has brought revolution in field of the banking world by Bitcoin technology. In Bitcoin encryption techniques are being adopted for regulation of the currency generation and funds verification.

7. Badar Khushnood

Badar Khushnood is famous for his work for Innovation Punjab campaign striving for making the Pakistan’s innovators supporting policy. He has been the Google’s “evangelist” in the past and also worked in Pakistan as Google’s Country Consultant. Now a days, he is working in technology based company Bramerz as the Chief Commercialization Strategist.

8. Rizwan Virk

Rizwan Virk is a multi dimensional person. He is not only a tech entrepreneur but also an angel investor and film  maker. He is the CEO of Midverse Studio and is a co-creator of Tap Fish game. He has been awarded with MIT Global Indus Technovator Award in 2005. He is a graduate of MIT and master from Stanford University. He has also made many movies independently including Turqoise Rose and Sirius.

9. Rabia Garib

Rabia Garib is working as a Editor-in-Chief of local edition of CIO, which is the largest magazine brand of the world in technology business. She is also an Eisenhower Fellow for Trade, Technology and Journalism. ToffeeTV has also been co-founded by her.

10. Ashar Aziz

Ashar Aziz launched his company “FireEye” in 2004 and is working here as a Chief Strategy Officer and CTO. FireEye is anti-threat security platform based upon virtual machine. It provides real-time security worldwide against threats & cyber attacks to governments and enterprises. He is also a member of billion dollar club.
