KP Digital Internship Program 2018 is now accepting applications

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has announced KP Digital Internship Program for 2018. The program aims to build skill ready workforce to accelerate the expansion of ICT industry in KPK. By participating in this program KPK Youth will develop ICT capabilities that will enable them to compete in global ICT markets.

KPITB has been actively working to empower KP youth with digital and entrepreneurial skills. With initiatives like Digital Youth Summit and innovation labs such as Durshal, KPITB is transforming the northern region of Pakistan into a digital hub.

The KP Digital Internship Program is open to the graduates of Bachelors’ and Masters’ programs. The qualified candidates will be provided internships at Software Houses and Call Centers based out of KPITB IT Parks in Peshawar and Abbottabad. Internees will also receive a monthly stipend of PKR 14,000.

Major areas of expertise include mobile app development, networking, web development, digital marketing, system testing, graphic designing and call management. To be eligible for an internship in a Software House, the candidates must have completed 16 years of education in CS, IT or any other ICT field. For call centers’ internship, the requirement is of 14 years of education in BA or an equivalent field of study. Applicants who graduated in the last three years and do not have a post-qualification work experience are eligible to apply. They must also hold a KP domicile.
