Google has announced that Hangouts On Air will be permanently rolling from Google+ to YouTube Live. From September 12, the Hangouts On Air subscribers will have to resort to YouTube Live. The users with events after September 12, scheduled to go on Air using the Google+ will now have to reschedule the events using YouTube Live.

YouTube Live offers built-in event scheduling using Hangouts On Air. Users can also create quick events, or custom events on YouTube using Hangouts On Air.

The users, which were using Google+ with Hangouts On Air, can shift to Hangouts On Air with YouTube Live, using the guide given below.

1. On YouTube, go to ‘Creator Studio’.
2. Click on ‘Live Streaming Events’.
3. Select Quick (using Google Hangouts On Air).
4. Give Title and choose from ‘Go live now’ or schedule for some time later.
5. Now select Hangouts to broadcast live.

After September 12, the users will not be allowed to use Google+ for Hangouts on Air. The recorded Google+ with Hangouts on Air content will, however, be available in read-only format.

Google had introduced Hangouts on Air in May 2012, and launched YouTube Live in May 2013. Google is inclined to remove Google+ integration from its other applications. Just recently, to place a review the Google+ compulsion from Google Play was also removed.
