Just after the release of Xiaomi Mi 9, the company started working on two new flagship models. XDA developers has discovered the code names for these flagship smartphones to be Raphael and DaVinci and rumors are that these flagship models might be similar to Oppo F11 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro, which have a pop-up selfie camera.

Many pictures have surfaced on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, showing Redmi phones with the pop-up selfie camera. However, the company has denied that they are working on any Redmi flagship with a pop-up selfie cam.

On the other hand, Xiaomi’s product director, Wang Teng Thomas, did make a statement hinting that the company was open to innovations and new hardware depending on how it will impact their consumers. Things got interesting when Lu Weibing, Redmi’s general manager, denied all rumors and said the future flagship does not include a pop-up selfie camera.

This has kept us in deep confusion for the past 5 months, but XDA developers recently found that Xiaomi has started testing pop-up selfie cameras and there were mentions of selfie camera automatically appearing and retracting which definitely means the phones will feature a pop-up selfie camera.

Moving on, we have no idea what specifications both the flagships will boast but we do know they will be based on the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The specifications will be comparable to the flagship model Mi 9, however, one of them might be superior to Mi 9 while the other one will be slightly inferior.

The company still has to unveil its Mi Mix flagship as well as flagships under the Redmi and Poco brands. The two phones could be either of the three flagships.

Xiaomi has also started developing the MIUI for these phones. There are traces of a separate MIUI software for the release in Indian Market. Thus, it is believed these devices will be launched in the Indian market on a priority basis.
