Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International Association, has revealed that a significant proportion of the population is against getting vaccinated for Coronavirus disease.

According to the survey, 49% of Pakistanis are skeptical of getting vaccinated once the vaccine becomes available in Pakistan.

Titled “Coronavirus Attitude Tracker”, the survey was conducted between 24 December 2020 and 15 January 2021 in which more than 1,000 Pakistanis from all provinces participated.

When asked to choose between Coronavirus vaccines made in the US/EU, China, and Russia, 31% of respondents said they would choose the Coronavirus vaccine made in Pakistan while 19% said they would choose the vaccine which receives the approval of the government of Pakistan.

Only 13% of respondents favored the Chinese vaccine, 4% US/EU vaccine, and 1% Russian vaccine.

Moreover, 51% of survey participants revealed it does not worry them when customers and shopkeepers don’t wear face masks while shopping.

Similarly, 50% of respondents said it does not matter if their colleagues don’t wear face masks inside the offices.

Lastly, 57% of survey participants disclosed that their neighbors don’t wear face masks at all when leaving homes.
