Former legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne has congratulated Yasir Shah for his brilliant spell of spin bowling against New Zealand in the second Test.

Shah took 14 wickets in Dubai for 184 runs and helped Pakistan devastate Kiwis by an innings and 16 runs to level the series 1-1.

His 14-wicket-haul in the Dubai Test was the best by a Pakistani since Imran Khan took as many wickets in a match against Sri Lanka in 1982.

The Aussie spin-master took to Twitter to congratulate ‘his man’.

“Congrats to my man Yasir Shah – what a terrific game you had and what a spell that was in the 1st innings, very special.”

Warne showed confidence in his skills and also advised Shah to remain patient.

Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur had also heaped praises for ‘best-ever’ spin bowler.

“We knew he had a big performance inside of him,” coach Arthur said adoring leggie, adding that his first innings spell was the best leg-spin bowling you will ever see. Fourteen wickets in a Test match is superb.”

Former Pakistani skipper Misbah ul Haq, while talking to a local news channel, shared similar thoughts for ‘outstanding’ Yasir on Tuesday.

“Yasir was outstanding with the bowl, and I have seen such an amazing spell in test cricket after a long time,” he said.

Misbah believed that Yasir’s mercurial spell gave Pakistan much-needed confidence they lacked while chasing down a low total in Abu Dhabi.
