PCB Expecting Over $5 Million in Profit From PSL 3: Najam Sethi

In the modern era, where limited over cricket is seen as a source of entertainment, Pakistan Super League (PSL) has successfully emerged as one of the best competitions in the world.
On Monday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Najam Sethi, revealed that PSL has generated an earning of over $5 million with this season.
Najam was present at the Parliament House and while talking to the media, he added:
This time round [in third edition], we are expecting over five million dollars as profit and we are looking to hold more and more matches in Pakistan at venues such as Pindi Cricket Stadium, so the PSL can thoroughly become a localized tournament.

The chairman also talked about the abundance of local talent and how the talent spotted in PSL has been incorporated in the national team.
Upon being asked about Fawad Alam’s exclusion, he replied:
I do not interfere with the decisions made by the selection committee. They do their job and I have faith in their ability to make the correct decision for our country.
Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan, MNA MQM, was also present at the conference and he showed great concern over PCB officials only providing two-page audit report of PSL to the committee members. He asked the proper audit of PCB/PSL to be conducted for transparency purposes.

In response to this, Najam replied:
Government auditors regularly conduct audits of the Board and a special audit is going to start in the next few days which will clarify everything.
Iqbal Muhammad later also brought up Wahab Riaz’s supreme performances in the PSL and said that English conditions suit the left-arm fast bowlers and to drop Wahab is nothing short of a bad judgment from the selection committee.
