Just a few days ahead of the series’ launch, the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has revealed the key specifications of Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G via a listing on China Telecom’s website. The Reno4 successors sit in the premium mid-range category and, by the looks of it, will flaunt some impressive specifications like its predecessor.

Oppo Reno5 5G

According to the listing, the vanilla Oppo Reno5 5G features a 6.43-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a punch hole for the selfie camera. The smartphone measures 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9mm, tipping the scale at 180g. Unfortunately, there is no information on whether the smartphone will come with a higher refresh rate display.

Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G renders look identical

As for the innards, the Reno5 5G will get the Snapdragon 765G and will be available in two memory configurations: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB.

The smartphone will come with a quad-sensor rear camera set up with 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP configuration and a 32 MP selfie cam. It will pack a 4300 mAh battery and will run Android 11.

As per the listing, the vanilla Reno5 5G will be available for sale at a starting price of $500.

Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G

The listing reveals that the Pro model has camera and battery specifications similar to the vanilla Reno5 5G. However, it is powered by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset topped with 8 or 12 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB onboard storage. Moreover, the Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G is built around a larger 6.55-inch OLED panel and measures 159.7 x 73.2 x 7.6mm, weighing 5 grams less than the vanilla model.

According to the listing, the smartphone’s base variant will retail for $600. The Reno5 series will be made official on 10th December 2020.
