Oppo Find X3 Costs Half as Much as the Pro Variant With Only Minor Downgrades

Oppo has continued to talk up features for a good mobile gaming experience, which is a key focus for smartphone makers these days.

Unlike the much anticipated Find X3 Pro, Oppo’s Find X3 will be launched in China first, as the company tries to expand its global footprint with the Pro model.

Oppo Find X3 is a near-equivalent to the Pro variant in almost every aspect. Perhaps the biggest differences revealed at the Find X3 launch event were the SoC and the RAM– X3 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm chipset with 8GB RAM, while the Pro goes all out with the top-of-the-line 888 5nm SoC tossed with 12 gigs of RAM.

Overall, we’re looking at indistinguishable camera modules – two 50MP Sony IMX766 sensors (wide and ultrawide), a 13MP 5x hybrid 2x optical telephoto sensor, and a 3MP 60x magnification macro.

You also get an identical 32MP selfie camera and 6.7-inch 1440x3216px LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The battery retains its 4500mAh capacity and 65W wired and 30W wireless charging.

But compared to the Pro variant, it’s nearly half the price with exactly the same hardware. If Oppo made a global variant of the Find X3, we can see more people would buy the simple X3 variant and not the Pro version.
