Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti GPU is expected to arrive in April to bridge the gap between the base 3080 and the monstrous 3090. Now a new report from a renowned tipster Kopite7kimi reveals possible specifications for the upcoming graphics card.

The RTX 3080 Ti has been making rounds in rumors before the RTX 3000 series was even announced. It has seen many spec changes over time, but now that the launch is drawing close, it seems that Nvidia has decided to revise the core and memory configuration once again.

According to the new leak, the RTX 3080 Ti is going to feature the PG133-SKU15 PCB design and the GA102-250-KD-A1 graphics core. It will now have 10240 CUDA cores within a total of 80 SM units. Since the main core configuration has been revised, all the older clocks & TMU/ROP counts which were previously leaked should now be dismissed.

As for memory, it will feature 12GB of GDDR6X with a memory speed of up to 19 Gbps, unlike the 3090 that features 19.5 Gbps. Moreover, since we are now getting 12GB of memory, the graphics card should be using a 384-bit bus interface with a total bandwidth of 912 GB/s. However, the TGP will be the same as the RTX 3080 at 320 watts.

It is clear that the RTX 3080 Ti aims to compete against AMD’s RX 6900 XT at a lower price point. As for a launch date, we expect to see an official announcement during April this year.
