Mobilink to Get New CFO by Next Month

Mobilink, country’s largest cellular operator, is ready to get new Chief Financial Officer, we have confirmed with sources.

Mr. Andis Locmelis, the outgoing Chief Financial Officer, has completed his service term of three years.

Sources, directly familiar with the development, confirmed ProPakistani that Mr. Mohamed Osman, currently the Chief Financial Officer of Banglalink – VimpelCom’s cellular arm in Bangladesh – will be appointed new CFO of Mobilink.

Osman will replace outgoing CFO by the end of next month.

Before serving Banglalink as CFO, Mr. Osman served the company as Chief Technical Officer, and Finance Director. He also remained the acting CEO of Banglalink for some time. He also served at Mobinil and Orascom Telecom in similar areas.

Mr. Osman will manage Mobilink’s finances, fraud and supply chain, and revenues. He is becoming CFO at a time when Mobilink’s revenues have gone flat due to tough competition and saturating mobile phone penetration in the country.

Mr. Osman has an accounting degree from Helwan University, Cairo.
