The spokesperson of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board has informed that due to maintenance work, Karachi will face a shortage of around 400 gallons of water today.

He said that this shortage will occur because the Dhabeji and Gharo pumping stations will remain closed from 6 AM until 6 PM. The stations will be offline due to a power shut-down.

A tweet by K-Electric (Karachi’s power supplier) informed that the power supply to these two stations – Gharo and Dhabeji will be terminated on Monday (today) because of maintenance work at the request of the National Transmission and Despatch Company.

The residents of areas, where water supply will be unavailable, should make use of their available resources more carefully. They should avoid any water wastage and if possible, delay all washing activities to tomorrow.
