July 1st: 4,133 New Cases, 91 Deaths Reported in 24 Hours

Pakistan yesterday reported 4,133 new coronavirus cases to take the tally to 213,470 with 91 new deaths due to coronavirus related complications in 24 hours. Total deaths reached 4,395.

Like yesterday, more than half or 64% of new cases were reported from Sindh only, where 686 new cases were from Karachi while Hyderbad, Ghotki, Sukkur and Jamshoro added 93, 76, 74 and 45 new cases respectively.

Karachi’s share in Sindh’s daily new cases dropped from up to 85% to just 25%, indicating that rest of Sindh (usually called the rural Sindh) has now caught the spread which is quite alarming.

Punjab reported 761 new cases where Lahore registered 403 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours. Rawalpindi added 87 new cases in 24 hours.

KP, Islamabad and Balochistan added 483, 137 and 50 new coronavirus cases respectively.
