Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received 2,757 complaints from telecom consumers against different telecom operators including (cellular operators, PTCL, LDIs, WLL operators and ISPs) during February 2018.

According to PTA data, Jazz (Mobilink + Warid) led the charts with 770 complaints and PTCL stood at second position as the most complained telecom operator with 765 complaints.

PTA said that it was able to get 2682 complaints resolved i.e. 97.27 percent.

Cellular mobile subscribers constitute a major part of overall telecom subscriber base, therefore, the maximum number of complaints belong to this segment. Total number of complaints against CMOs in February 2018 stood at 1944.

In terms of the segregation of complaints on operator basis, a total of 770 complaints were received against Jazz which is 39.60% of the total CMO related complaints.

Telenor, which has the second largest number of consumers, was second with 479 i.e. 24.63 percent complaints were received against it.

Zong stood third with 389 complaints i.e. 20.01 percent of total complaints.

Ufone had 306 complaints against its various services which make up 15.74 percent of the total CMO related complaints.
